No. 13 Men's Tennis Defeats Murray State 7-0

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - The No. 13 University of Louisville men's tennis team defeated visiting Murray State 7-0 Thursday afternoon to improve to 6-0 on the season.
The Cardinals took the first point by winning doubles at Nos. 1 and 2. The duo of Simon Childs and Andrew Carter defeated Jorge Caetano and Joao Camara 8-2 at the top seed. Murray State's Jose Berardo and Mason Johnson teamed to beat Sumit Gupta and Adam Donaldson 8-3 at No. 3. Alejandro Calligari and Amaury Derognat's 8-3 win over Luka Milicevic and Renaldo Domoney at No. 2 clinched the doubles point for the Cardinals.
Louisville swept the singles points in straight sets for the 7-0 final. Austen Childs, No. 8 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings defeated Caetano 6-2, 6-0 on court No. 1. No. 98 Simon Childs topped Camara 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 to pull the Cards up 3-0. Calligari clinched the win with a 6-0, 6-1 decision over Milicevic at the three-spot. Andrew Carter beat Domoney 6-0, 6-2 at No. 4. Dante Terenzio defeated Arther Valle 6-3, 7-0 at the six-slot and Gupta's 6-3, 7-5 win over Berardo at No. 5 closed the match.
