Burtch Named BIG EAST Swimmer of the Week

University of Louisville junior swimmer Alex Burtch was named Men's BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week.

Burtch led the Cardinals to a 185-115 victory over Pittsburgh on Nov. 4 with three individual first-place finishes and a relay win. He cruised to a win in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:40.98, more than two seconds ahead of the field. Burtch garnered his second win with a 46.12 finish in the 100 free, and another in the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 1:54.82. On top of his individual accomplishments, Burtch anchored the 200 free relay team to victory with a split time of 20.50.
