Swimming and Diving Open Season Against Xavier

The University of Louisville Swimming and Diving team will host their first meet of the year against Xavier on Friday, October 14, 2011. The meet will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the Ralph Wright Natatorium.
Louisville enters the 2011-2012 season returning six All-Americans and the BIG EAST Diver of the Year from last season, Hannah Gadd. The Cards are lead by last years BIG EAST Diving Coach of the Year, Mike Zehnder, and the BIG EAST Swimming coach of the Year, Arthur Albiero. After a banner season in 2010-2011, Louisville has high hopes for this season and look to start the season with a strong performance against the Muskateers.
Xavier returns the Most Outstanding Men's Performer at the 2011 A10 conference championship as well as a Mid-Major All-American Team Honorable Mention swimmer. The Musketeer's swim team was also named a Scholar All-America team after posting the second highest team GPA with a 3.45. They enter the 2011-2012 season under third year coach Brent MacDonald, and are excited to build on the progress that they have made in recent years.
