
Women's Swimming Finishes Fourth At SMU Classic

The University of Louisville swimming and diving team stands in fourth place after two days of competition at the SMU Classic in Dallas. USC remained in first, with Purdue and Rice tied for second and the Cardinals just 13 points behind in fourth.
Eszter Povazsay turned in a 2:00 and Krissie Brandenburg went 2:01 in the 200-back. In the 200-breast, Fanny Lilliestrom went 2:16.0 and Therese Bergstrom posted a time of 2:17. Hannah Gadd finished fourth overall in the 3-meter diving. In the 200-fly, Sarah Andrews touched in 2:06 and Nicole Landisch was 2:09. In the 200-IM, Eszter Povazsay posted a time of 2:06 and Fanny Lilliestrom touched in 2:03.
"We fought hard today," said U of L head coach Arthur Albiero. "We had a much better night and had a solid finish."
