In the CSCAA Coaches Poll, both the University of Louisville men's and women's team have made the Top 20 list. The men are up two spots to No. 16 and the women make their first foray into the Top 20 at No. 20. Both rankings are program history bests for the Cardinals.
The Cardinals are coming off an outstanding showing at the US Short Course Nationals in Atlanta at the Georgia Tech Aquatics Center. Among the highlights for the Cardinals was Whitney Campbell's third place finish in the 50-free against some of the fastest swimmers in the country. Freshman Doug Dietrich was named the 18-under national champion in the 200-fly. In all, the Cardinals set school records in five events.
In the women's college division, the Cardinals finished third behind Auburn and Florida. The Cards finished sixth in the college men's division.
