
Women's Basketball Travels to No. 5 Rutgers

Piscataway, N.J. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team will play No. 5 Rutgers at the Louis Brown Athletic Center at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. The game will be televised live on ESPNU.
Junior Angel McCoughtry leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 23.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Candyce Bingham is second on the team in scoring and rebounding with 13.2 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. Senior point guard Patrika Barlow leads the team and the league in assists with 7.2 per game.
Rutgers enters the game with an overall record of 14-2 and a perfect 4-0 record in the BIG EAST. Rutgers has two players averaging double figures. Sophomore Epiphany Prince leads the team in scoring with 13.6 points per game. Matee Ajavon is second in scoring with 11.9 points per game. Center Kia Vaughn leads the team on the boards with 8.3 rebounds per game.
The game will be just the third meeting between the two teams. The series is tied with both teams winning games on their home court. Last season the Cardinals edged the Scarlet Knights 53-50 for the win in Freedom Hall. While Rutgers won 80-55 in the Louis Brown Athletic Center two seasons ago.
