
Women's Basketball to Face Western Kentucky on Sunday

Bowling Green, Ky. - The Louisville women's basketball team will play its second consecutive road game against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in E.A. Diddle Arena. The Cardinals enter the game with a 6-2 record while WKU enters with a 6-3 record. The game will be broadcast on Hilltopper Sports Satellite Network (HSSN).
Louisville enters the game on a five game winning streak, including an 87-52 win over Vermont on Wednesday evening. The Cardinals are led in scoring and rebounding by All-American Angel McCoughtry. McCoughtry leads the nation in scoring and steals. Junior Candyce Bingham is second on the team in scoring and rebounding with 12.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
The Hilltoppers have not played a game in 10 days. The Hilltoppers defeated Kentucky 78-74 in overtime in Lexington and fell 75-54 at Vanderbilt in their last game. Crystal Kelly, a Louisville native, leads the team in scoring and rebounding. Kelly averages a double-double with 22.9 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Sophomore Kenzie Rich is the second leading scorer with 11.3 points per game.
The game will air on Hilltopper Sports Satellite Network (HSSN) which broadcasts in Bowling Green on WKYU-PBS as well as Channel 19 TV in Louisville. The game will also be broadcast on Fox College Sports Atlantic as well.
