
Vali Preda Makes Splash at European Nationals

The University of Louisville swimmer Vali Preda finished 11th in the 28th Annual LEN European Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
The sophomore-to-be posted a time of 1:01.63 which is a personal best in the 100-meter breaststroke.
Preda, a three-time BIG EAST Champion and teammate Adam Madarassy are both competing in the championships. Preda is swimming for his native Romania. Madarassy finished ninth in the 200-fly at the 2005 NCAA Championships. After qualifying 18th, the Hungarian native powered to ninth with a time of 1:44.17 which made him the fastest freshman in the nation that year.
