Recap | Final Stats
Louisville Head Coach Collen
"It was a great game. I know you never think they are quite as great when you loose, but they (DePaul) are a good team."
"There were two things that hurt us. We turned the ball over too many times and that hurt us then they were able to convert them into points. They are one of the best defensive rebounding teams in the conference and we didn't shoot well from the perimeter."
"Jazz did her job down low and Yuliya played great. We just didn't get any shots from outside."
(On holding DePaul under their average) "You take a lot of things out of this. We kept them under their (scoring) average, we stayed even with them on the boards, and we missed a lot of shots so we feel when we step on the court we can play with them."
"We have to bounce back. As good as a team as DePaul is, there are seven teams as good in this conference. Marquette is the next challenge, they beat DePaul the last two games of last year. They took our NCAA spot last year. We have every reason to believe we are still in the race."
DePaul Head Coach Doug Bruno
"Coach Collen and the Louisville ball club have done a great job in putting themselves in position to win the regular season Conference USA. Both teams were 6-1, but in fact they were a better 6-1 team because they have beaten a very good TCU and Houston team here in Freedom Hall. They have already been on the road to play Saint Louis and Memphis and we have not yet beaten TCU and Houston at home. We have also not beaten Saint Louis and Houston on the road."
"It was more of a must win game for us then it was Louisville and I think that our players understood and grasped that."
"Our team is a good basketball club and we came out and did what we do."
"We like to shoot threes, but we jacked up 14 threes by halftime before we settled down offensively."
"Jazz (Covington) is a special player. We know that she is a special player. Jazz his going to get her points. We just tried to throw some different looks at her."
"Jazz had a super night, but I think that we did a good job at shutting down some of the other Louisville players that could have hurt us."
"Tom has done a great job here at Louisville, and this has just became a very tough place to play at."
