
Swimming Signs Anna Dishuck

Anna Dishuck of Tuscaloosa, Alabama (Holy Spirit) has signed a national-letter-of-intent to continue her swimming career at the University of Louisville.
"Anna is a top Alabama high school athlete. She comes into our program as a strong breaststroker, but she also brings plenty of versatility as she has excelled in the sprint freestyle events, and 200-IM. Anna had a break-through summer in 2005 and she continues to improve throughout her senior high school season," said U of L head coach Arthur Albiero.
Dishuck swims for Crimson Tide Aquatics for coach John Boxmeyer and for her mother, Laura, at Holy Spirit High School.
In 2005, she qualified in five events for the National Swim Coaches Junior National in Orlando, Fla. She placed 16th and 17th, respectively, in the 100- and 200-breaststrokeat Speedo Summer Sectionals in Auburn. She won the breaststroke races at the Southeastern Regional Long Course Championship and received the Don Gambril Achievement Award. In the 50-free and 100-breaststroke,she won the bronze medal in both events in 2004. In 2005, she won silver in the 100-breaststroke and a bronze in the 50-free.
Dishuck is a member of the Crimson Tide Aquatics 400-freestyle relay team that qualified for the Senior Nationals which will be held later this season. She will compete for Holy Spirit in the AHSAA Championships on Dec. 10 at Auburn.
