
Swimming Signs Amanda Henleben

Amanda Henleben of Roswell, Ga. (Roswell High School) has signed a national-letter-of-intent to continue her swimming career at the University of Louisville.
"Amanda hails from one of the top club programs in the country, Swim Atlanta. She will add a great deal of enthusiasm in our distance freestyle and individual medley group," said U of L head coach Arthur Albiero. "She is not afraid of hard work and she is definitely on a sensational improvement curve as she closes her high school career. Her club coach, Mark Minier, describes her as a talented athlete with an impeccable work ethic."
Swimming for Ned Granville at Roswell High School, Henleben placed second in the Georgia High School 5A State Championship in the 500-free in 2005. The three-time varsity letterwinner was her high school MVP in 2003 and 2005 and a member of the Georgia Zone team in 2002 and 2004.
Henleben finished first inthe Georgia Swim Club State Championships in the 1650-free in 200. In the Georgia Long Course Senior State Championships, she had firsts in the 1500-free, 800-free, 400-free and the 400-IM. She won the 2002 Georgia Swim Club State Championships 1650-free as well.
