
Bryan Risner Named Assistant Athletic Director for Development

Bryan Risner, director of Development at Vanderbilt for the past three years, has been named Assistant Athletic Director for Development at the University of Louisville.
Risner, a 1996 graduate of Miami (Ohio) University, will handle major gifts with an emphasis on capital projects, scholarships and endowments.
Risner comes to U of L from Vanderbilt University, where he was the director of development and helped raise funds in support of an $80 million campaign for athletics while managing a portfolio of 150 major gift prospects. Prior to his stint in Nashville, Risner served as the Director of the Red and White Club at his alma mater. He coordinated all annual fund-raising for the MU athletic department and raised major gifts in support of the school's comprehensive campaign.
He spent a year at Rutgers as the assistant director of the Scarlet R Club where he actively participated in the school's $500 million comprehensive campaign. As a graduate assistant at North Carolina State, he created endowment and real estate acceptance programs for the Wolfpack Club. He began his career as an account executive for the Konica Business technologies.

Bryan brings a great deal of fund-raising experience and ideas to our staff and is a person that Cardinal fans will enjoy getting to know. He will be a real asset as we move this program forward into the Big East Conference," said Gary Friedman, Associate Athletic Director of Development.
