Murray State Head Coach Joi Felton
"We are very disappointed in the way we came out (to play today). You have to give Louisville a lot of credit, they came and played hard. We just did not match that intensity first of all, we knew coming in that we were undersized in the post and we had to do an extremely good job of blocking out and rebounding. We just did not get that done early in the game."
On the battle underneath the basket*
"We had a block out issue and we did not play early. They got real good position under the basket, and we talked on that in practice and preparation for this game. We just did not get it done. We do not have any excuses; we have to give Louisville all the credit. They have some really good post players and I know that they will do well in Conference USA."
On the rest of the season and rebounding*
"We just need to go back to the drawing board basically. We need to harp on rebounding and our play underneath (the basket). Rebounding is a hustle stat that I can not coach. The players just have to want to go get the ball. We still have our conference season ahead, so we are excited about that.
Louisville Head Coach Tom Collen
"We felt like they were a good pressure man-to-man team but didn't feel like they could handle us in the post. We still have to get better. We opened 7-3 against non-conference competition and look to improve as the season goes on."
On playing in Freedom Hall
"I like Freedom Hall, it's a great place to play. The crowd is great and our players are really relaxed here."
On the five game road trip
"We're going to work hard and go on the road and see if we can come back a better team. It's a good game going into Christmas. It'll be great if we can go up to Xavier and get a win. That would be a great Christmas Present."
