CO-SWIMMERS OF THE WEEK A pair of sophomores share the spotlight as Conference USA delivers its first Swimmer of the Week honor for the 2004-05 season. Heather Meng of Louisville claimed her first conference accolade after posting her best dual meet time ever against Eastern Illinois earlier this month. Houston's Szintia Szanto received her first weekly honor as she led the Cougars in meets against in-state rivals Rice and Texas.
Heather Meng, Louisville Sophomore, Turnersville, New Jersey (Washington Township) Meng was a driving force behind the 200-yard medley relay team that beat Eastern Illinois earlier this month. She also swept the 200-yard individual medley and the 200-yard butterfly vs. EIU. Against Big Ten opponent Illinois, Meng won the 200-breast and 200-IM, while posting her best dual meet time ever in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:22.10).
