LINCOLN -- Facing some of the steepest competition of the season, the University of Louisville's women's swim team lost to Nebraska and Kansas but gained valuable experience as the Conference USA meet grows nearer.
U of L lost 248.50 - 38.50 to Kansas and 237-48.00 to Nebraska in Lincoln on what was NU's Senior Day at the Bob Devaney Sports Center Pool. The Huskers fell to Big 12 foe Kansas, 172.50-127.50 in the other matchup of the three-way meet.
U of L's Megan Densmore tied for second in the 100-free. Angie Nicolletta finished 1.45 seconds off the lead in a tightly contested 100 fly race.
The Huskers also saw success in the diving well, as NU took the top four spots on the one meter. Senior Katie Collins scored 214.35 in the one meter board for the Cardinals.
