Hi everyone! I have to apologize for being so late with this journal entry. I guess I really didn't want to write about the two road losses.
Southern Miss was a tough loss, just three points. We had the lead and just let it slip away. We missed some easy shots at the end of the game. Then we traveled to New Orleans, which of course was hosting the Super Bowl. When we got to the hotel they were packed, and we weren't anywhere near Bourbon Street. But there end up being a lot of rappers staying at the hotel. There was a concert that Saturday in New Orleans. We met Bubba Sparks, JadaKiss, Black Rob, Eight Ball and MJG.
I think that we were so star struck that it took our focus away for the game against Tulane. We played horrible and no one stepped up in that game. I am hoping that we learned a hard lesson.
But this weekend we earned the nickname the Cardiac Cards. We came from behind 16 points on Friday night to beat Memphis. And if that wasn't enough, we came back from 20-points behind at the half to beat Saint Louis. We really pulled together and played as a team. It was so much fun!!!! I hope it continues when we head to DePaul and Marquette this weekend.
In order to win, we need to play two halves instead one this weekend. Hopefully we will come together and play like we are capable of.
Unfortunately my mom and Aunt Marcie won't be able to make this road trip. They try to make a lot of them and it is great when they are there.
And for those of you keeping up with my bowling career, I bowled in a no-cap tournament this weekend with a 291 handicap.
Now Valentine's Day is approaching and unfortunately we are on the road. And for once it is the first V-day that I have a boyfriend and it figures that I would be gone. So my boyfriend Sean and I are going to celebrate it Wednesday night after bowling. But the bad news is I have an 11:00 curfew.
I went shopping on our day off and bought him something special. I can't wait to see what he will surprise me with.
I just wanted to thank all the fans for their support this weekend. They were really great in helping up make the comebacks. I want to wish you all a Happy Valentines Day. And I hope you all will come out and support us at Cincinnati next week.
