Swimmers Defeat Xavier, Saint Louis in Dual Meets

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's and women's swimming and diving teams picked up a pair of wins over Saint Louis and Xavier Friday evening at Crawford Pool.
The Cardinal men defeated Saint Louis 82-57 and Xavier 75-62, while the women beat SLU 91-48 and XU 77-60.
On the men's side, Nils Lofgren and Jacob Grieb were double winners for the Cards. Lofgren captured the 100 and 200 Fly events, while Grieb won the 50 and 100 Free.
Other winners for the Cardinal men were Vinnie Souza (200 Free), Ryan Eatherly (100 Back), James Winchester (100 Breast) and Sean Wilkinson (Diving).
For the Cardinal women, Lauren Seymour and Angela Nicolletta were triple winners on the night. Seymour finished first in the 100, 200 and 1650 Free events, while Nicolletta won the 100 and 200 Fly and the 200IM for the Cards.
U of L's other winners were Stephanie Tucker (100 Back), Katie Collins (1M Diving), Stephanie Basler (200 Back) and Allison Madler (3M Diving).
The Cardinals travel to Lexington to take on Kentucky Saturday at 11 a.m.
