Women's Swim Team Wins Two, Men Edged

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- University of Louisville swimmer Lauren Seymour won three races and diver Sean Wilkinson swept diving in a three-way meet held at the IUPUI pool.

The women's swim team beat Western Illinois 62-51 and IUPUI 92-21. The men fell 60-53 to IUPUI and 64-49 to Western Illinois.

For the women, Seymour won the 100-, 500- and 1000-freestyle and Allison Mader swept the 1- and 3-meter diving beating the competition by close to 40 points in both events. Angela Nicoletta won the 200-free and was part of the 200-Medley Relay team that won by almost two seconds. Stephanie Tucker took the 400-IM by almost 7 seconds with Madelyn Gaines picking up a win in the 100-breast.

For the men, Wilkinson continued his winning streak with firsts in both diving. In the 1-meter board he scored 288.25. Teammate Richard Marschner was second at 212.85. The two finished in the same order in the 3-meter board with scores of 241.85 and 215.55 respecitively.

Nils Lofgren picked up a win int he 100-fly and was a part of the first place 200-Medley Relay team along with Ryan Eatherly, James Winchester and Jacob Grieb.
