Clapp Looking Forward to 2001 Women's Basketball Season

University of Louisville women's basketball head coach Martin Clapp addressed members of the media Thursday at the annual media day held at Cardinal Park.
The Cardinals return all five starters and welcome the addition of some offensive weapons as they set out to defend their 2001 Conference USA Championship. Leading the returnees are senior guard Marju Sober (14.2 ppg), sophomore point guard Sara Nord (14.1 ppg, 7.7 apg) and senior guard Kara Kessans (12.2 ppg).
The Cards open the 2001-02 season at 6 p.m. on October 31 when they take on Athletes-In-Action in an exhibition game at Freedom Hall.
