No. 17 Fresno State Sweeps Men's Tennis

FRESNO, Calif. - The No. 17 Fresno State Bulldogs swept the doubles and won five singles matches in straight sets on their way to a 7-0 victory over No. 41 Louisville at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center.
Fresno State came out firing, sweeping the doubles to take an early 1-0 lead. The team of Andy Scorteanu and Rob Cheyne led the way for FS, defeating Tvrtko Kujundzic and Joachim Lien 8-3 at No. 1.
In the top singles spot, Kujundzic led No. 42 Peter Luczak by several set points in the first set, but Luczak fought back for a 7-6 (5), 6-4 win. At No. 6 singles, Brent McCombe led Nick Fustar 4-0 in the third set, but ended up dropping the match 5-7, 7-5, 6-4. The loss was McCombe's his first of the season in 13 matches.
The Cardinals return to action at 4:30 p.m. EST when they play Pacific.
