LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Jake Kirts of Shelbyville has signed his National Letter-of-Intent to continue his tennis career at the University of Louisville in the fall of 2000.
Kirts, who is a senior at Shelby County High School, was a member of the Kentucky All-State team as a junior and is one of the top players in Kentucky entering his senior year.
"Jake has intensity on the court and character off the court, a combination that I am looking for," said Louisville coach Rex Ecarma. "He'll represent U of L very well. His best tennis is still ahead of him."
U of L will open up the spring season on January 21 when they host Toledo and Wright State at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
