LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Junior College standout Natasha Zacharova has signed a national-letter-of-intent to play with the University of Louisville women's basketball team announced head coach Martin Clapp.
Zacharova, a 6-3 post player from Central Florida Community College, is rated as one of the Top 20 Junior College recruits by the All Stars Girls Report. She averaged 10.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game as a freshman and earned all-conference, all-region and all-state honors both years.
"Natasha is a very talented post player who brings international experience to our team," said Clapp. "She has great size and strength combined with finesse. She will be a great addition to our program."
She joins fall signees Sara Nord, Kim Graham and Marcia Alvarado. Nord was named Miss Indiana Basketball this year and will play for the Indiana All-Stars. Graham was a first team all-state selection by the Louisville Courier Journal and the Lexington Herald Leader and will play for the Kentucky All-Stars.
