Women Swimmers Defeat Georgia Southern

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's swimming and diving team defeated Georgia Southern University 147-90 Sunday at Crawford Pool. With the win, the Cards improve to 7-2 on the year.
Freshman Catherine Dievendorf led the Cardinals with wins in both the 200 I.M. (2:09.84) and the 500 Free (5:07.16) before teaming up with juniors Melissa Dayton and Jodi Fretz and sophomore Amanda Tobias to capture the 400 Free Relay (3:41.89).
Other Cardinal individual winners were freshman Stephanie Basler (1000 Free), junior Tara Tokarczyk (1-Meter Diving Voluntaries), freshman Sara Mayne (200 Fly), sophomore Wendi Wallace (200 Back) and senior Ronna Tackett (200 Breast). Wallace and Tackett teamed with sophomore Angela Hong and junior Duygu Senkal to win the 400 Medley Relay for the Cardinals.
Louisville will return to action December 30 at the Kennedy Swim Classic in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
