Swimmers Sweep Meet With IUPUI, Saint Louis

INDIANAPOLIS - In a three-way meet with IUPUI and Saint Louis University, the University of Louisville men's and women's swim teams swept the meet on Saturday.
U of L men beat IUPUI 88-25 and beat Saint Louis 104-19. The women's team beat IUPUI 91-22 and beat Saint Louis 90-23. Coming off their record breaking season of a year ago, Coach Rick Hill seems to have the squad meet-ready.
The men swept the relay events, winning the 400-Medley relay and the 400-Free. The team placed first in five races with Jason McCarthy, Gary Raketich, Matt Bentley and Bryan Lucious all winning their respective races.
Tara Tokarcyzk swept the 1- and 3-meter diving for the Cardinals with newcomer Catherine Dievendorf notching wins in the 200- and 500-fly. Melissa Dayton, Angela Hong, Amanda Tobias and Wendi Wallace were all race winners as well. The women won the 400 Free Relay as well.
