LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Despite winning five races, the University of Louisville men's swimming team fell to Georgia Tech 171-131 in the final meet of the regular season Saturday at Crawford Pool.
"We swam a great meet," said head coach Rick Hill. "They just had a little more depth than we did, which translated into points for them."
Brian Lucius led the Cardinals with wins in the 50-free, 100-fly and anchored the winning 200-medley relay.
"Brian is going to be great at Conference in two weeks," said hill, referring to the Southern States meet in two weeks.
Thomas Manchak had a first and a second-place finish in diving, while Nils Lofgren and Sevket Yapar swept the first two spots in the 200-fly.
The Cardinals are idle until they travel to Davidson, N.C., for the Southern States Championship February 17-19.
