Michael Grosso (1968-70)

Mike Grosso transferred to UofL after two seasons at South Carolina and made an immediate impact at center. He averaged 15.7 points and 16 rebounds as a junior in helping the Cardinals to the Missouri Valley Conference Championship and a post-season NIT berth. As a senior, he averaged a team-high 18.6 points and 13.9 rebounds as the Cards posted an 18-9 mark and again reached the NIT.
Grosso continued his basketball career in professional stints with the Milwaukee Bucks, Pittsburgh Condors, Carolina Cougars and one season in Italy. He returned to Louisville after his playing days, where he began as an account executive for WDRB-TV before becoming the general sales manager for WLRS-FM for 10 years. He has also worked for Louisville Magazine, WHAS and WZKS-FM.
