
Men's Tennis Welcomes Sulen

Marcus Anker Aarthun Sulen, the top-ranked junior player in Norway will join the Cardinals in the fall
LOUISVILLE, Ky. –University of Louisville men's tennis coach Rex Ecarma has announced that Marcus Anker Aarthun Sulen from Stavanger, Norway will join the Cardinals in the fall of 2018.

Sulen is currently the top-ranked junior in Norway and has been ranked as high as No. 6 overall in his country. Additionally, he has reached as high as No. 290 in the International Tennis Federation Junior World Tour. Sulen brings carries an impressive resume which includes Norway's U21 doubles title and a runner-up showing in singles. His other singles accomplishments include winning the Malahide ITF tournament in Ireland and reaching the finals of ITF tournaments in Norway and Sweden.

In doubles, Sulen captured the titles at the FBT ITF championship in Odense, Denmark as well as the SEB ITF in Varnamo, Sweden.

"We very excited to have Marcus join us," said UofL assistant coach Jakob Gustafsson. "He brings a high level of international experience to this team and I wouldn't be surprised for him to make an immediate impact. Marcus is very dedicated to the game of tennis and truly believes in his skill set. He already has tournament wins over current ACC players and I look forward to seeing him produce and develop within our system.'
