
Cardinals Recruiting Class Ranked 21st by Collegiate Baseball News

Louisvilleās 2015 class features eight players in Perfect Gameās top 250 incoming freshmen
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville baseball program earned its sixth top 25 recruiting ranking in the last eight years earlier this week as the Collegiate Baseball newspaper tabbed the Cardinals' 2015 class at No. 21 nationally on Tuesday.
The recruiting class, assembled by head coach Dan McDonnell, associate head coach Roger Williams and recruiting coordinator Eric Snider, features eight players ranked in the top 250 of the Perfect Game Top Incoming Freshmen list. The group, on campus now and participating in fall workouts, is highlighted by a trio of pitches in the top 80 nationally in righthanded pitchers Bryan Hoeing (Batesville, Ind./No. 69), Sam Bordner (Baltimore, Ohio/No. 79) and Riley Thompson (Louisville, Ky./No. 80), while lefty Noah Burkholder (Crown Point, Ind./No. 161) and righty Adam Wolf (Milan, Ohio/No. 173) also land in the top 180. Highly ranked position players in the class include outfielder Josh Stowers (Westchester, Ill./No. 157), outfielder Chris Botsoe (Hinsdale, Ill./No. 229) and infielder Devin Mann (Columbus, Ind./No. 247).
Louisville will conclude its third week of fall workouts with a pair of scrimmages this weekend at Jim Patterson Stadium. The Cardinals will host Scout Day on Friday with on-field activities starting at 1:30 p.m., ET, while first pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. On Saturday, Louisville will scrimmage at 1 p.m., while gates at Patterson Stadium will open at 11:30 a.m.
