
Men's Swimming Completes NCAA Day 1 Finals

In the first day of the NCAA Men's NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, the University of Louisville had a strong showing by the 200-free relay team Thursday evening at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center in Iowa City, Iowa.
The foursome of Thomas Dahlia (19.82), Trevor Carroll (19.18), Matthias Lindenbauer (19.37) and Rudy Edelen (19.50) combined for a 1:17.87 to tie for 12th place overall with Ohio State. In the A-final, NC State finished the race in the water in first place, but after review they were disqualified and Texas who finished second took the top spot with a time of 1:15.86. Texas finished the race with three swimmers splitting under the 19 second barrier. From out in lane 1, California moved up from their 7th place seed in prelims to take second.
Tomorrow, the Cards have a busy schedule with prelims beginning at 12 ET with finals at 8 p.m. ET.:
