
Fathauer Finishes Fourth on PGA Tour Event

Fathauer finishes a career-best fourth at PGA Tour Event last weekend
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Former University of Louisville men's golf All-American Derek Fathauer is starting to become comfortable on the PGA Tour with his near victory last weekend.
Heading into the final round of action with a one-shot lead, Fathauer shot an even par 71 to post his best finish as a professional by ending The OHL Classic in fourth-place by shooting a 16-under par 268. The Jensen Beach, Fla., bogeyed No. 10 and No. 14 to to finish off the lead.
Fathauer started the OHL Classic's final round with a one-shot lead, but shot an even-par 71 in the final to finish two shots outside of the three-man playoff. It was just his second top 10 (and fifth top 25) in 59 PGA TOUR starts. Fathauer finished 169th in last season's FedExCup, but regained his card via the Web.com Tour Finals.
Fathauer, who was attempting to become the sixth straight first-time winner on the U.S. PGA Tour, fired a second-straight 66 on Saturday to take a lead heading into the final round of the OHL Classic.
Fathauer opened play by shooting 65 on Friday and Saturday to give himself the opportunity to win his first event on tour.
