TEAM NOTES
- Louisville game captains were Jake Smith, Lorenzo Mauldin, Charles Gaines, and Sheldon Rankins.
- Louisville won the toss and elected to receive to open the game.
- Saturday night's attendance for Louisville and Wake Forest was 51,463. It's the 15th-highest attendance at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, surpassing the crowd of 51,321 against Pittsburgh on Nov. 12, 2011.

- Louisville's defense has forced 13 turnovers in the first five games this season, which is the most through five contests since forcing 14 in 2005.
- Louisville's seven sacks today are the most since UofL recorded eight against Rutgers on Oct. 10, 2013, in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
- Louisville's defense held Wake Forest to just 23 yards in the second half, 100 for the game. It's the fewest yards an opponent has gained since USF registered 98 on Oct. 26, 2013.
- Louisville tied a season high with 49 rushing attempts, first achieved against Murray State on Sept. 6. Brandon Radcliff had 17 attempts, Reggie Bonnafon and Michael Dyer had 14 each, Dominique Brown totaled three, and there was one team rush.
- Wake Forest concluded the game with -22 yards rushing on 23 carries, the fewest rushing yards since Grambling was held to -56 in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium on Sept. 23, 2000.
- Through five games, opponents are averaging just 105.2 total yards in the second half (526 yards through five games).
- Louisville held Wake Forest to just seven first downs, the fewest since FIU totaled two on Sept. 21, 2013.
- The Demon Deacons went just 2-for-16 on third downs. Through five games, opponents are just 46-for-172 (27 percent conversion).
PLAYER NOTES
- Reggie Bonnafon made the start at quarterback, becoming the first true freshman to start since Teddy Bridgewater (Oct. 1, 2011).

- He finished the game 16-for-32 with 206 yards. He also rushed 14 times for 46 yards, including a long of 16.
- He connected with eight different receivers in the victory.
- Gerod Holliman recorded his sixth interception of the season in the second quarter, fifth in the last three games, to lead the nation. He returned it 29 yards.

- It's the most interceptions since Will Gay produced six in 2006.
- The six interceptions are tied for eighth most in a season.
- James Burgess recorded his fourth career pick in the second quarter, stopping Wake Forest's drive just short of the end zone. He fumbled in the end zone, and it was recovered by Andrew Johnson for a touchback.

- He recorded his first sack of the season, second of his career, in the second quarter.
- Brandon Radcliff totaled 129 yards on 17 carries, including two touchdowns in the victory. He is the third rusher to eclipse the 100-yard plateau this season (Dominique Brown, 33 carries for 143 yards vs. Miami; L.J. Scott, 11 carries for 126 yards vs. Murray State).

- Radcliff's 29-yard run for a touchdown in the second quarter marked the longest rush of his career.
- His tallied his fourth and fifth career touchdowns in the victory. He previously had two rushing scores against Murray State on Sept. 6.
- Lorenzo Mauldin tied his career high with three sacks, which he achieved previously against USF on Oct. 20, 2012. He finished with five tackles and one forced fumble.

- Marcus Smith had three sacks against Rutgers on Oct. 10, 2013.
- Reggie Bonnafon, Charles Standberry, and Brandon Radcliff received their first career starts this afternoon.
