LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville track and field teams' final day at the Hoosier Hills Invitational was a quick one. The two runners competing on Saturday each finished in the top five in their respective events in the Gladstein Fieldhouse in Bloomington, Ind.
Calvin Arsenault took third in the 60m hurdles finals after advancing past Friday's semifinals race. The junior clocked a season-best time of 7.95 in the event to sit in third in the conference's descending order list heading into the American Athletic Conference Championships in New York in two weeks.
In the women's section of the event, Alexis Murry took sixth behind a time of 8.92. Her season-best mark of 8.71 is the ninth-fastest time in the league.
The Cardinals next are scheduled to compete at the AAC Championships in New York, N.Y., beginning on Feb. 28. The two-day event takes place in the New Balance Track & Field Center at the Armory.
