
Men's Tennis Falls 4-0 to No. 24 Washington

SEATTLE , Wash. - The University of Louisville men's tennis team fell 4-0 to host No. 24 Washington in the first match of the great Northwest Shootout.
"We played pretty good, but they played very good. Most of the courts were very close, but on three of the courts, we were overmatched," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "Sebastian was four points in the tiebreaker from winning his match and Michael and Albert were in the third set. We have to stay confident because we play an extremely talented Tulsa team tomorrow morning."
The Huskies took the doubles point by winning at Nos. 1 and 3. Kyle McMorrow and Emmett Egger picked up an 8-1 win over Albert Wagner and Andrew Carter at the top seed and Matt Stith and Marton Bots defeated Michael Lippens and Sumit Gupta 8-5 at No. 3.
In singles, action, Carter fell 6-3, 6-3 to 12th ranked Morrow at the top seed. Max Manthou topped Hall 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 and Nicholas Kamisar beat Chris Simich 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6.
The Cardinals (8-5) will play Tulsa Sunday at 1 p.m.
