- The Cardinals made their 10th second round appearance on Saturday night against Purdue. In addition the past two second round appearances have been against Purdue.
- With the loss Louisville falls to 4-6 all-time in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Louisville also falls to 0-9 all-time against Purdue.
- Serving as today's match captains were Emily Juhl, Gosia Lech and Gwen Rucker.
- Lola Arslanbekova's third kill in the first set moved her past Laurie Maxwell and into third all-time in school history in kills with 1,546. Currently Arslanbekova has 1,552 kills which is 309 behind program leader Lena Ustymenko who had 1,861. The junior finished with 10 kills and 11 digs on the night giving her 14 double-doubles for the season.
- Caitlin Welch extended her double-digit dig streak to 17 straight matches. This season Welch has notched 519 digs which ranks second all-time for a single season. Director of operations Sarah Drury-Petkovic owns the single-season mark with 534 set in 2002.
- Tanya Lukyanenko recorded 10 kills on the evening. She tied her season-high after previously having 10 kills against DePaul on Sept. 30. The junior finished two kills short of tying her career-high of 12 set at Connecticut last season.
- Junior Kaitlynn James recorded 10 kills on the night giving her four games on the season with double-digit kills. She finished two digs short of her third double-double.
- Louisville fell to 1-9 when dropping the third set. Louisville's only win of the season when dropping the third set came against Pittsburgh in the BIG EAST Championship.
- Louisville failed to hit above .200 for the ninth time this season. The Cardinals finished 2-7 when failing to hit above .200.
