
Volleyball Loses Close Match to St. John's

Stephanie Marsh had 10 kills and 14 digs but it was not enough as the University of Louisville Cardinals suffered a 3-0 loss to St. John's University in BIG EAST Volleyball action Friday night in the Bronx, N.Y.
U of L falls to 8-6 and 2-1 in the BIG EAST with the 28-30, 31-33, 26-30 loss. St. John's moves to 18-1 and 3-0 in the league.
U of L hit . 256 to SJU's .250 and the Cardinals outblocked the Redstorm 11-4. Marsh was joined by Ana Yartseva Stewart in double digit kills with 10 and notched six aces to lead the Cardinals. St. John's was led by Patti Hardemon's 18 kills and 10 digs.
U of L returns to action against UConn Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. in Storrs. The Huskies are 11-4 overall and 1-1 in the BIG EAST.
