LOUISVILLE, KY - The UAB women's soccer team topped the University of Louisville 3-0 in Conference USA soccer action at Cardinal Park on Sunday.

"We didn't show up at all against a strong team in our conference," added Ferguson.
The Blazers took a 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute when Jenny Rynders took a feed from Tara Kidwell and came in on the right side sending a shot into the top far corner of the net for the early advantage.
Kidwell made it 2-0 in the 52nd minute on a feed from Briana McCarty, and Rynders closed the scoring in the 70th minute with an assist going to Jill Knottek.
On three separate occasions the UAB defense saved goals, robbing U of L's Mandy Rost, Jamie Craft and Heidi Schomburg.
Shots were even in the first half at nine apiece, but the Cards had seven shots on goal, compared to UAB's two. The Blazers(6-2-0, 2-0-0) had a 21-15 shot advantage for the game
All five of Craft's shots were on goal despite being double-teamed most of the afternoon. Schomburg, Lindsay Scheer and Ashley Garcia each had two shots for the Cards.
