
Women's Track & Field Fares Well at Indiana Invite

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Senior Cindy Roberson recorded a personal-best height in the pole vault to lead the University of Louisville women's indoor track and field team at the Indiana Invitational Saturday in Bloomington.
The meet featured teams from 19 schools, including Indiana, Indiana State, Purdue, Western Kentucky, Cincinnati and Memphis. The meet was not scored
Roberson tied for sixth after clearing 11 feet, nine and three-quarter inches. The mark topped her previous indoor best by four inches.
Senior Alanna Mestelle advanced to the 60-meter dash semifinals and placed ninth with a season-best time of 7.73.
The Cardinals turned in a pair of personal-best times in the distance events. In the 800-meter run, sophomore Corryn McCrae placed 15th with a time of 2:22.47, eight seconds faster than her previous best. Junior Laine Hamman finished 15th in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:53.83.
The Cardinals return to action February 22 when they travel back to Bloomington for the Hoosier Hills Open.
