
Women's Basketball Defeats Ball State 94-86

Muncie, Ind. - Angel Bradley hit 4 of 4 from the free throw line to seal a 94-86 win over Ball State Tuesday evening in John E. Worthen Arena. Sara Nord scored a career-high 31 points and dished out 12 assists while Connie Neal scored a career-high 21 points.
Ball State started the second half with a 10-2 run to tie the score at 45 at the 17:42 mark. The lead switched hands five times until Bradley scored on a layup and Neal nailed a three-pointer with 5:32 left to give the Cards a 81-76 lead and Ball State never got closer than two.
Louisville finished the game shooting 56.9 percent from the field and 42.3 percent from behind the arc. Ball State outrebounded the Cardinals 35-36.
The Cardinals used a 14-0 run early in the first half to pull ahead 23-9 with just over 10 minutes remaining in the half. Nord nailed two three-pointers and Katie Olson converted a three point play to spark the run. Ball State got back into the game with an 8-0 run of their own to cut the lead to 23-17 at the 7:35 mark.
Louisville finished the half shooting 51.4 percent from the field and connected on 6 of 15 from behind the arc for 40 percent. Ball State shot 48.3 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from behind the arc. Nord finished the half with 17 points.
The Cardinals will host Jackson State on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 2:00 p.m. in Freedom Hall.
