Women's Soccer Loses to Marquette

MILWAUKEE, WI - Two late goals by Marquette sophomore forward Katie Michuda sealed a 4-0 victory over the University of Louisville women's soccer Sunday. Marquette improves to 10-4-2 and 4-2-2 in conference play. Louisville falls to 5-9-1 and 1-5-1 in C-USA play.
Marquette Senior forward Kate Gordon opened the scoring on an assist from junior midfielder Laura Culhane in the 15th minute. Gordon and freshman midfielder Julie Thompson assisted on senior forward Ashley Spakowitz third goal of the season for a 2-0 advantage in the 57th minute.
Michuda scored in the 83rd from freshman midfielder Sarah Johnson, and in the 86th minute from sophomore midfielder Jessica Ratcliffe.
Louisville keeper Meredith Miller made 13 saves in the loss for the Cards.
Louisville will host its final two home games of the season on Friday at 7:00 p.m. against Saint Louis and Sunday at 1:00 p.m when they face Charlotte on Senior Day. Admission at Cardinal Park is free.
