Women's Cross Country Places Sixth at Miami Invitational

Oxford, Ohio - The University of Louisville women's cross country team finished sixth in the Miami Invitational Saturday morning in Oxford, Ohio.
Miami edged Ball State by one point to capture the 10-team event. Miami's Andrea Kremer finished with a time of 18:04, 11 seconds ahead of teammate Kristen Fryburg, to win the 5,000m race.
Louisville's Alicia Cavender was the top Cardinal finisher with a time of 19:29 for 18th place. Emily Daunhauer finished 34th with a time of 20:09.
The women return to action Saturday (Sept. 15) when they travel to Bowling Green for the Western Kentucky Invitational.
