Women's Soccer Edged by Bulls

TAMPA, FL. - The University of Louisville women's soccer team was edged by South Florida 1-0 Friday night. It was the third time the Cards have lost by a single goal this season.
The Bulls' Danielle Aldrich scored the only goal of the game in the 24th minute on an assist from Christine Koester.
South Florida(3-2-2, 1-1-1) goalkeeper Breck Bankester made six saves to preserve her first shut out of the season. The Cardinals(2-5-0, 1-2-0) outshot the Bulls 8-5 in the second half, but could not break through against the Bulls.
Meredith Miller, notched two saves in the game in net for the Cards.
U of L will next face 12th ranked Florida State on Sunday in Tallahassee. The teams will kickoff at 1:00 p.m. The Cards return home October 12th when they face UT Martin at Cardinal Park at 7:00 p.m.
