St. Louis, MO - The Saint Louis Billikens jumped out early, with two goals in the first 12 minutes, in a 3-1 win over the Louisville Cardinal women's soccer team Sunday in Missouri.
Jamie Perry delivered goals in the fifth and twelfth minutes for Saint Louis(6-6-0, 3-3-0), giving them a 2-0 advantage.
Senior captain Amber Jolley cut the lead in half in the 37th minute. Playing a short corner, Mandy Rost dribbled the ball along the endline on the left side of the goal and dished the ball out front to Jolley, who buried it in the back of the net.
Saint Louis decided the final margin in the 79th minute on a goal by junior Jenny Kehl.
Louisville falls to 3-9-0 overall and 1-4-0 in the league. The Cards will next host DePaul on Friday, Oct. 19, for a 7 p.m. game.
