Saint Louis University out-shot Louisville 24-1 in a 10-0 victory over the Cardinals in Conference USA women's soccer action Friday at Robert R. Hermann Stadium. Billiken freshman Anne Lucier scored three goals on three shots and added an assist in the dominating win.
Sophomore Shannon Myers scored in the fourth minute when she corralled a deflection on Kathy Musschoot's initial shot. Just a minute and a half later, Jenny Kehl put on in the back of the net from 12 yards out on a centering pass from Katie Zaegel.
Lucier flicked a five-yard header in the 35th minute to make the lead 3-0 as Kehl picked up the assist. Musschoot added an unassisted goal when the Cardinals left her unmarked on the near side and she tucked it under the cross bar from 25 yards out. Senior Kathleen Schager was not to be outdone by the younger talent as she scored in the 52 minute. Mandy Trokey, Beth Moberg and Lindsay Potrafke also netted goals for the Bills.
The Cardinals next play a C-USA match with Houston on Sun., Oct. 1, at 1 p.m.
