
Women's Basketball Advances to the Championship Game

Louisville, Ky. - University of Louisville women's basketball team advanced to the championship game of the 2000 Kelloggs' Holiday Classic by defeating Niagara 92-62 in Freedom Hall tonight.
Three Cardinals scored in double figures, led by junior Marju Sober with 17 points. Louisville hit 44.9 percent from the field and 43.5 percent from the three-point line. Louisville outrebounded Niagara 52-29.
Junior Shamika Ingram led the Cards on the boards with 12 rebounds, recording her first double-double with 15 points.
Louisville took control of the game in the first half forced the Purple Eagles to 29.6 percent shooting from the field and zero percent from the three-point line.
The Cards will face Austin Peay in the championship game tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. in Freedom Hall. Austin Peay defeated Maryland Eastern Shores 73-62 in the first game of the evening.
