Women's Soccer Falls At Cincy 4-1

Louisville's women's soccer team fell to 0-7-0 in Conference action by way of a 4-1 loss at Cincinnati Thursday night. The team is 1-12-0 overall and has now dropped 12 straight decisions.
The Bearcats(8-5-0, 5-2-0) jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 3:41 mark when Amy Simonson stuffed home a lose rebound. Leah Polaski tallied just under ten minutes later, heading in a cross from Heather Herweh to put them up 2-0 at intermission.
Tiffany Ogden made it 3-0 in the 56th minute before junior Dana Edler beat Cincy keeper Christy Hoffman off a beautiful feed from Liz Nelson at 75:10 to avert the shutout. Ashley Moore capped the scoring in the 83rd minute heading in a corner off the foot of Rachel Lieberman.
Cardinal goalkeeper Lynn Clashman had eight saves as the Cards were outshot 18-3 in the match. Meg Shively and Nicole Casavant had the other shots for U of L.
Louisville will host non-conference opponent Murray State Tuesday night at Cardinal Park at 7:30 before resuming conference play Friday at Memphis.
