Cards Lose Final Home Game In Women's Soccer

South Florida midfielder Siri Nordby scored a hat trick Sunday, leading the Bulls to a 6-0 shoutout of Louisville in women's soccer action in Cardinal Park.
Nordby beat Cardinal keeper Lynn Clashman in the eighth minute to give the Bulls(5-8-1, 4-5-1) a 1-0 lead. Nordby connected again, this time off a cross from Christin Chandler at the 31:41 mark to put South Florida up 2-0 heading into the intermission.
After Erin Sharpe tallied off a feed from Aleia Long at 62:25, and Jennifer Wilson headed home a corner kick from Julie Lechner at 75:16, Nordby notched number three 45 seconds later off a steal. Chandler wrapped up the scoring in the 87th minute off a pass from Tia Oplinger.
The Cards(1-17-1, 0-11-0) had a number of scoring opportunities, but were unable to finish. U of L managed seven shots on goal to South Florida's 26. Nordby collected 15 shots in the contest, five of which were on goal.
Before the game, seniors Lynda Keeton and Julie Zastrow were recognized during senior day ceremonies. The Cards finish the season Saturday when the visit Ohio State starting at 3:00.
