Women's Soccer Topped By IUPUI 2-1

Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis topped the U of L women's soccer team 2-1 in non-conference action at Cardinal Park Wednesday.
IUPUI(7-8-1, 2-1-0) jumped out to a lead in the 28th minute when a loose ball ricocheted to the foot of Tara Latella who beat Cardinal(1-15-1, 0-9-0) keeper Lynn Clashman, putting the Jaguars up 1-0.
The Jaguars added to the lead at the 56:57 mark when Karrie Reising worked free down the right side and beat Clashman from 20 yards out making it 2-0.
Louisville controlled much of the play in the first half but were unable to score until the 90th minute when Amber Jolley tallied her team leading sixth goal of the year on a scramble out front following a centering pass from Lynda Keeton. The Cards hit the crossbar or post on three different occasions.
The Jaguars outshot the Cards 11-7, and had six corners to Louisville's four. Clashman made five saves in the match, while IUPUI keeper had two stops.
Louisville will wrap up its home and Conference USA scedule this weekend, hosting Charlottte Friday at 7:30 and South Florida Sunday at 3:00 at Cardinal Park.
