UAB scored three times in the final 20 minutes to record a 3-1 come-from-behind Conference USA victory over Louisville in women's soccer action Sunday afternoon at West Campus Field.
Brianne Tieff of U of L scored the game's first goal on a long blast over UAB keeper Lisa Nowoslawski to give the Cardinals a 1-0 lead.
The Cards secured the 1-0 lead until the 71st minute when UAB junior Denise Peters tied the game.
Freshman Jill Knottek then added the game winner for the Blazers (3-10-2 overall, 2-6-1 in C-USA) at the 85:55 mark by capitalizing on a loose ball in front of the goal. UAB's Stephanie Davis added an insurance goal at 88:57.
UAB collected more shots than the Cardinals (1-14-1, 0-9-0), recording 25 to the visitor's six.
Louisville will host IUPUI on Wednesday at Cardinal Park at 5:30.
